Scalloped Linen Skirt

Tuesday, July 9, 2013

Equipement Blouse: Thrifted ($4.99)
Linen Skirt: Plato's Closet ($12)
Wedges: Marshalls
Nine West Sunglasses: Marshalls ($9)
Necklace: c/o INPINK (here)

If you have watched my first thrift haul, you may recognize this blouse. It's the Equipment blouse I scored for only $4.99- which is unheard of, but not by thrift store standards! It's such a great top and one of my favorite thrift store purchases by far.
I’ve received a few requests for work attire, so I put together this outfit that is perfect for everyday events, yet appropriate for work. Each item is very simple, but when paired together, makes a beautiful statement. This silk Equipment blouse contrasted so well with the gold jewelry and white linen skirt; I kept my other items very neutral to keep it workplace appropriate. Depending on where you work, you may need to switch out the open-toed wedges for closed-toed shoes, but I decided these summer wedges were the perfect finishing touch.
Also, how great is this necklace from INPINK?! I’m obsessed with the site and know you budget gals will enjoy it too! INPINK was so kind to offer a discount code for my readers, so you can enjoy these gorgeous baubles too!

Just type in RRREJOICE30 for 30% off your purchase

Multicolored Equipment Blouse

Monday, April 9, 2012

Equipment Blouse: Marshalls (also here)
Paige Jeans: Marshalls (also here)
Mia Wedges: Marshalls (flat version here)
Bracelets: Platos/Macys

I pretty much stalked this blouse the moment I saw it at Marshalls about a month ago. I probably tried it on 8 times, daydreamed about it for hours, and frequently went in to see if it was still there. I couldn't bring myself to spend $80 on it though. I'm a girl all about bargains- not giving in! I was hoping it would be on sale eventually and this weekend it was. It was discounted by almost $30, so with my beautiful Equipment blouse in hand, I happily walked to the register to finally take it home with me.
I wore this for Easter and thought this outfit is the epitome of Spring: white ankle pants, cutout wedges, and a colorful silk blouse.

Neon Tweed

J.Crew Plaza Coat: Thrifted($9.99!)
Chiffon Blouse: Forever 21
Tweed Skirt: Platos ($5!)
Tights: Target
Watch: Macys
Oryany Gwen Bag: Tjmaxx

It was chilly this morning so I decided to wear this coat I got a few weeks back. I was browsing the racks at a local thrift store and I usually check the coat racks during my searching. I was feeling all the sleeves to find a soft coat and stopped at this thicker wool coat. I checked the tag and saw that it was a gorgeous J.Crew wool coat...in my size! It was in impeccable condition and the back had a split tail which I adored. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better--it did! The coat was only $9.99. Score!
I decided to wear this bright skirt with a fuchsia top to play off the neon colors in the tweed skirt. I liked the unexpected fun colors under the black coat; I added black tights with simple pumps for a classier look.
