Soft Peplum

Blouse - c/o Marshalls
Cynthia Vincent Heels - c/o Marshalls
BDG Jeans - Plato's Closet
Foley + Corinna Bag - Ebay

When peplums first became a huge trend, I fell in love with the style! But since then, my love for peplums has evolved into a serious obsession with soft peplums. It's not as severe of a cut and it just oozes girlyness(that's totally not a real word but I don't care). To me, nothing screams feminine more than a soft peplum blouse. This one has lace detailing and buttoned all the way up in the back- it keeps getting better and better, right?! I'm also a sucker for white blouses that you don't need to wear a shirt on underneath. Sheer blouses are great, but I hate having to worry about an undershirt!

Another reason I love soft peplums- they go with ANYTHING! That's right, anything. Pair it with a sleek pencil skirt for work, high-waisted jeans and a floppy hat, or some distressed denim shorts. The possibilities are endless! This blouse was scored in The Cube section at Marshalls for only $14.99. The Cube is the juniors section, but don't think Juniors like shopping at Mervyns with your mom before a dance. It's more like having two sections to shop at in Marshalls- Womens' and Juniors'. Boom! Sorry boys ;) I always make my way to The Cube to find rompers, kimonos, trendy blouses, and their killer clearance rack. But don't think because the prices are lower the quality is lower. Nope. Same high-quality pieces! Next trip to TJMaxx or Marshalls you have to check out that section. I promise you will thank me later!

I'm working on a haul, so be on the lookout for one coming to my YouTube channel!

Boho Layers

Ruffle Tank - c/o Marshalls
Booties - Marshalls
Knit Sweater - Crossroads
Jeans - c/o American Eagle
Bag - TJMaxx

My style has totally evolved and changed overtime, especially after becoming a mom. I usually lean towards more free-flowing layers, comfortable jeans, and the occasional hat to cover up my bed head. I still love getting dressed up fancy- some days I can get away with it, but other days I don't. I'm always reaching for boho inspired pieces that I can wear for my blog and also while playing at the park with Uriah. Usually I layer over simple t-shirts, but occasionally I find a gem like this blouse and it takes my outfit to a whole new level! This blouse is as comfortable as a t-shirt, but is still dressy. I had this blouse sitting for a while and didn't know what to pair it with, but now that I see it with simple layers- I can't get enough! Try pairing a silk cami or a loose blouse with a chunky knit sweater, you may never want to go back!

These next few days are going to be filled with Nick and I (and Uriah) giving #ourlittletrailer some love and a much needed facelift. You can follow our journey on Instagram and I'll post some updates soon. We're having so much fun and can't wait for our first trip!

Thank you for reading and your continued support!

Beaded Sweatshirt - c/o Marshalls
Cloth & Stone Chambray - c/o Marshalls
Jeans - Plato's Closet
Stuart Weitzman Boots - Ebay
Foley + Corinna Clutch - Ebay

This past week was so rejuvenating. Nick and I celebrated our 5 years with a night away in the city, while Uriah hung out with his grandparents. I was so thankful for the few days we got to just relax and enjoy each others company. We were able to go to some hiking spots I had been talking about, eat our weight in carbs and delicious truffle fries, and go for a morning run in the rain. I love being a mom more than anything, but it's nice to also be a wife and enjoy special time with Nick.

Alright, enough mushy-ness..let's talk about this outfit! I swore off wearing sweatshirts years ago. I thought, "I'm past that phase in my life" - no more sweatshirts! Ok, I didn't know or even think about the possibility of beaded sweatshirts when I went through that phase, so when I saw this lovely one at Marshalls, I forgot all about my little sweatshirt fasting and quickly bought it. I'm not sure if anyone else swore off sweatshirts like myself and if you did, after seeing this one you may become a believer again! It is a shorter length, so I paired it with a chambray top (also from Marshalls) that had a subtle print to it. One of my favorite things to wear lately is a longer, loose blouse, preferably one that covers my bum, underneath a fitted top or sweater. It looks so put-together and adds a little extra to the outfit while giving it a playful look. And I can't get enough of the tuxedo cut on the back of the chambray! Love those little details. Cloth & Stone does chambray SO well and I seriously can't get enough of their clothes. I love that I can go to Marshalls and pick up such affordable, in-season pieces and see them being sold at Anthropologie a week later for triple the price. Who doesn't love getting a deal like that?! So keep your eyes peeled for Cloth & Stone blouses- you will be thanking me when you're wearing the softest denim blouse EVER. Speaking of deals, the Plato's Closet near me had a killer sale Saturday, so get ready for a little haul video coming to my YouTube channel.

Firework Romper

Romeo + Juliet Couture Romper - c/o Marshalls
Felt Hat - Target (little girls' section)
Booties - Forever 21 ($3.99)

I know the groundhog saw it's shadow, but here in the Bay Area, we're experiencing some spring days and I'm enjoying every bit of them. I wore this breezy romper (a recent purchase from Marshalls) for a day full of sunshine. I love everything about this romper- the firework print, the boho sleeves, and the surplice top. The romper is a light weight material, but the darker print keeps it from looking too summery. Don't be afraid to break our summery pieces during winter. It usually just takes a few layers or a pair of tights to completely transform a summery outfit for those cooler months. In this case, I accessorized with grey accents in my booties and a felt hat to restyle this spring romper. I was on the fence about the hat when I first saw it at Target (in the little girls' section), but I think the smaller brim keeps it from being too much. And it was only $9.99! Gotta love the kids' section.

I've realized that one thing I totally fail at is accessorizing.
Especially in the jewelry department. The only thing I ever wear is my nose hoop, mainly because it's literally stuck on. I think I squeezed it too tight when I put it on and now it's on for good! If I ever do get it off, I'm going to switch it with this cute rose gold hoop from FreshTrends. The only plus-side to rarely accessorizing is that Uriah doesn't try to pull my necklaces off!I think the next investment will be a watch because I tend to keep my accessories very minimal.
Any suggestions for cute and not too expensive watch?
