This weekend consisted of many wonderful things- baking yummy treats, lighting fall scented candles, a surprise rainy Saturday, and this lovely outfit.

It was a beautiful weekend!

Aztec Diamond Blouse

W118 By Walter Baker Top: Ross ($14.99) (also here)
Sandal: Target ($20) (similar here)
Leather Shorts: Target (cute Free People version here)
Oryany Bag: Tjmaxx

I went to Macy’s a couple months ago and saw this colorful peplum blouse; it was such a statement piece, but $128 was way out of my price range. I figured it was very funky and wouldn’t be a blouse many people would gravitate towards, so I was planning on waiting until it was on clearance to buy it. Fast forward a few weeks- I’m at Ross and not only do I find the blouse, but it’s also on the clearance rack for $14.99. Does it get any better than that?! It was glorious moment and the blouse was still as beautiful as I remembered. I’ve been saving these bright red sandals for the perfect outfit and thought they meshed so well with this multicolored top. And the leather shorts were just icing on the cake!

Restyled Denim Shorts

Saturday, July 7, 2012

Oversized Sweater: Marshalls (similar here)
Cutoff Shorts: Restyled Abercrombie Denim (more white denim here & here)
Necklace: Styles
Louboutin Fringe Booties: Birthday Gift (another cute pair here)

I got this pair of jeans my sophomore year in high school just because they were $7 from Abercrombie. I never wore them until I decided to restyle the pair into denim cutoffs last summer- now they are my favorite shorts EVER. I paired them with an oversized knit sweater, feather necklace, and suede fringed booties for a simple, but chic summer look.
Fringe is probably my favorite styles for this season, or any season for that matter.
There is something so carefree and fun about fringe.
