With warmer weather and bright sun just around the corner, it’s time to get your wardrobe spring-ready! When I think of spring, my mind immediately goes to soft fabrics, colorful prints, and lightweight layers – all of which are great for this transitional season. I’ve teamed up with Marshalls to share some of my must-have trends for spring.
Bold Prints –
Don’t shy away from prints! Try out the trend with a simple blouse paired with jeans. Looking to jump right in to this trend? Opt for a floral dress! I scored with my vibrant striped dress ($40 compare at $120) – the simple silhouette paired with the vertical shades of blue make for a show-stopping piece. To break up the print, I added a lightweight layer in the form of a sleeveless blazer.
Spring Sandals-
This is one of my favorite items to bring back after a dreary winter – sandals! Whether in the form of a block heel, espadrille wedge, or lace up stiletto, the easiest way to incorporate spring into your wardrobe is by swapping out those winter booties for a fresh sandal. This season I’m especially drawn to neutral colors, lace up detailing, and platform heels. I spotted a great designer pair of Sigerson Morrison heels on clearance for $72 compare at $480 – I was swooning over the wooden heel, neutral suede, and ankle strap.
Cold-shoulder neckline-
This trend was huge last year and is here to stay! Marshalls has so many great options not only in the women’s department, but also in The Cube. The Cube is great for trying new trends because most items range from $9.99-$19.99, so you’re not investing too much in the trend, but still scoring a high-quality item. I found a cute striped button up with a feminine ruffle detailing ($16.99 compare at $22) that I paired with simple white jeans – perfect for lunch with girlfriends!
Lace Detailing –
When you’re looking for something delicate or feminine, lace is always the best bet- especially after a season of bulky coats and chunky sweaters. This spring staple never goes out of style and will easily transition into summer weather. I chose a crisp white blouse with a delicate lace neckline ($29.99 compare at $58) and added a little edge with distressed jeans.
With a quick and inexpensive trip to Marshalls, I was able to refresh my closet with great items for spring! Now I’m ready for sunshine filled days and trips to the farmers’ market. Which trends are you most excited for this spring?
