We’re transitioning to fall with cozy layers, indoor activities, and lots of snuggles!

All outfits and toys - c/o Marshalls

With summer coming to an end and the weather getting cooler, we are slowly transitioning our wardrobe and playtime for fall. Uriah and I headed to our favorite spot-Marshalls. I always stop here for toys and books for my little guy, especially because they have some of my favorite, eco-friendly toys. Plus, they’re always significantly less than retail store, but still current and high-quality! Once summer ends, the sun sets much sooner and I’m always looking for toys or activities to keep Uriah entertained. The toy/activity selection at Marshalls is always so full of options, so I knew we would leave with some great items! We picked out colorful wood-grain building blocks for only $16.99 compare at $24.99, a ocean themed puzzle set on clearance for $6.00, and a bright blue backpack for carrying all our goodies. We also picked out a few new books when we were in the checkout line. If you’re a book lover or you have a book worm (like I do!), Marshalls is THE spot for children books! They carry so many popular titles and authors, that you will be sure to leave with a new or old favorite.

Another important transition is our fall wardrobe! With Uriah growing so quickly, I like to get as much wear out of his items as I can! With that being said, I love to add accessories or layers to summer looks to get them ready for fall. For Uriah’s summer outfit we scored a pair of skinny jeans, designer sandals, and a striped top for under $25! Budget friendly and for just $9.99 more, I was able to add a soft thermal hoodie as a layer for extra warmth for those cooler months. For my look, I started with a cute base- a turtleneck dress by Free People scored for only $29.99 with a killer asymmetrical hemline. I’ve already received so many compliments on this beautiful basic and knew it would be the perfect transition piece for my fall wardrobe. I swapped my summer sandals for suede Dolce Vita booties (scored for only $69.99 compare at $120) and layered an embroidered Free People denim jacket (another amazing Marshalls find!) over the dress for my transition layer.

Thanks to Marshalls, we are now ready for cooler weather and lots of fun indoor activities.
