Dress -- c/o Marshalls
Stuart Weitzman Heels

Summer is officially here and I'll be living in dresses/rompers, drinking lots of iced lattes, and of course- taking Uriah to the pool as many days as I can. With summer, especially where I live, comes hot, HOT days! I normally like to stick to looser fitting items that are made with light fabrics. I'll be honest, I get in a rut sometimes and realize I wear a white blouse every day. Hah! They're just the first thing I reach for and just scream "summer"

Do you ever surprise yourself with an item you pick out? Like when you spot an item that you fall in love with, but isn't necessarily your style. I've done this multiple times! I usually pass on purchasing it and totally regret not trying something new. So when I spotted this rainbow watercolor dress at Marshalls, I had to branch out of my regular neutral colors and pick it up. I'm a sucker for anything and everything with a cold-shoulder or off the shoulder neckline, and when I saw it had a vibrant print, I decided it was just too beautiful to pass on. The flowy chiffon and breezy fit kept me nice and cool on the 95 degree day.  The familiar neckline made it so much easier to try something new and I'm so glad I did! Summer is here and now my wardrobe will match the bright, sunny weather!

  2. The dress looks great on you! I think I tend to be obsessive compulsive with my outfits – when I try something new and love it – I need everything remotely similar. So trying something new is great... and dangerous for my wallet. =P
