Cookie baking to kick off our holiday season!
The holidays are my favorite time of year for entertaining. Nothing is better than gathering around the table, couch, or kitchen with your loved ones. In years past, we loved hosting white elephant christmas parties for our friends. It always funny to sneak in silly gifts! This year we decided to host a kids/adult party. We had cookie decorating for the younger ones ( and a few adults!) and then champagne and donuts for the adults...because who doesn't love donuts?! I was able to score so many goodies for our holiday cookie party at Marshalls! Instead of using simple plates, I opted for marble and wood slabs for the extra wow factor. For only $12.99, it added quite the flair without it costing a pretty penny. I will admit, I was shocked when I saw how inexpensive they were for how high quality these were. I also scored festive holiday plates, a 2 tiered display with a beautiful glass case (only $24.99!), festive cloth napkins, and champagne flutes. My cookie party wouldn't have been complete without the necessities, so I headed to the baking aisle for a rolling pin, cute cookie cutters, sprinkles galore, and little cups to house all the yummy decorating goodies. We also picked up a bunch of snacks, cookies, and candy treats with the money we had left over. We were able to throw an amazing party for under $100! I can't wait to re-use all my decor for another party we have next week. But this time the dessert trays will be for yummy charcuterie boards :)
